Who is this for?
Adults with no specific eye complaints who want a thorough, baseline eye health check. Ideal for routine annual or biennial screening, especially for those without known risk factors.
What does it help look out for?
Common refractive errors (short sightedness, long sightedness, astigmatism), early signs of glaucoma, cataracts, diabetic retinopathy, and other retinal or anterior segment conditions.
Visual acuity
Measures how clearly you see at distance and near using an eye chart. Detects blurring from refractive errors or other media opacities.
Refraction and automated tonometry
Refraction determines your exact spectacle prescription. Automated tonometry measures intraocular pressure – a key screening test for glaucoma.
Anterior segment examination
Using a slit lamp, we examine the cornea, iris, lens, and anterior chamber. Helps detect cataracts, corneal scars, dry eye, and signs of uveitis.
Dilated retinal examination
After dilating your pupils, the ophthalmologist views the retina, optic nerve, and macula. Essential for detecting diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, retinal tears, and optic nerve damage.
